Women’s Ministry

CBC Women’s Ministry Team seeks to glorify God in all we do! The REAL acronym explains our desire: we strive to be a community of disciples who are Reaching out, Encouraging others, Adoring God, and Learning together. We want to build up the body of Christ – young girls, through older women - to know and share Jesus, and God’s truth through his Word.

Our biggest event is our spring retreat. These are typically held in March at Calvary and run Friday evening through Saturday. We have tons of fun, enjoy good food and fellowship, and grow in our understanding and love of God.

WOW (Women of the Word) Saturday gatherings are offered several times a year. We enjoy coffee and breakfast before a time of praise and worship. Afterwards, there is a teaching time on different topics which are Bible based, relevant, and unique to what women are facing today.

Cards and Carols is an evening in early December when we write notes of encouragement to shut ins, missionaries, first responders and service members, and enjoy hot chocolate and delicious treats! The evening closes as we sing Christmas carols together.

We also love to connect women with other women who can disciple them in their faith! Some of these relationships simply occur as our ladies build friendships at events and at church on Sundays. However, if someone is struggling to find that relationship, a women’s ministry team member would be happy to help you!

Our ministry is made possible because of the many women who graciously serve others at our events. If you would like to help occasionally with any of the following tasks, please email us at the address listed below. We have a list of volunteers so no one is over extended. (* Indicates that membership is required to serve in these capacities.)

Hospitality — Welcome guests, oversee nametags; registration at our events

Food — Plan, shop, oversee kitchen and serving
Music — Plan music (vocal and/or instrumental) for activities
